Mobile-Assisted Authentication

As indispensable as your wallet and your watch, and perhaps more so, your mobile phone provides instant connectivity to friends, family, business colleagues and online services. Next generation smartphones include NFC readers and Secure Element (SE) memory embedded in the device or in the SIM card.  This makes them ideal to act as secure “terminals” to read chip & PIN based contactless cards and store credentials right in the phone for proximity payment and other applications.

SecureKey’s innovative authentication solution lets you use these same credentials in the online world, by using your mobile phone as a terminal to validate your credential, or as a means to load these same credentials in the phone and/or in cloud-based wallets.  Once your phone is registered as a secure “terminal”, any number of online authentication and payment applications can be enabled, such as:

  • Online Login & Transaction Confirmation
  • Mobile-assisted Online Authentication
  • Mobile-assisted Express Checkout
  • Secure Credential Onboarding
  • Enterprise VPN and Single Sign-on (SSO)
  • Identity and Age Validation

Using SecureKey’s Credential Brokerage Service (CBS), these same credentials can be used by the original parties that issued them, or by 3rd parties wishing to take advantage of an existing (shared) secure credential for second factor authentication.  Users need fewer cards and credentials, and have the convenience of their phone to authenticate any number of online services with a simple ‘tap’ or ‘touch’.
